Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Abstract: The abstract should not exceed 150 words. You can use this document as the basis for final editing of the article to submit. The font used in the abstract is "Georgia" size 9 and single-spaced, with indentation to the left and right of 1cm.

Keywords: Enter up to five keywords, separated by semicolons.

Introduction

Articles submitted to the journal must adhere to the format presented in this document. It is suggested that these guidelines be followed as a basis for the editing of articles.

The following sections describe the formats to be used in titles, subtitles, and the final text of documents, as well as the formats for table captions, figures, and bibliographic reference standards.

Articles can be written in Spanish.

Complete articles should not exceed 18 pages, considering the format described here.

Headings and footers will be included by the editors.

Page Format

The page format should be A4, with top margins of 3 centimeters, bottom margins of 3 centimeters, and left and right margins of 4 centimeters.

Text Format

This section presents the text formats for the article to be submitted to the journal.

Article title

The article title should be centered, with the font "Georgia" size 14, bold, single-spaced, followed by a spacing of 24 points. This format corresponds to the title style.

Sections and subsections

Section titles should have the format with font "Georgia" size 11, bold, single-spaced, left-aligned, considering a spacing of 18 points before the text and 6 points after the text. This type of format corresponds to the heading style. Sections should be numbered sequentially.

For subsection titles, the font "Georgia" size 10, bold, single-spaced, preceded by a spacing of 12 points and followed by a spacing of 6 points (style heading 2) will be used.

In the case of needing to divide subsections into blocks with titles, these should not be numbered and follow the format with font "Georgia" with size 10, italic, single-spaced, preceded by a spacing of 12 points and followed by a spacing of 6 points. See the example shown below, which corresponds to the heading 3 style.

Text

The article text should have the format with the font "Georgia" size 10, single-spaced and justified.

Bulleted or numbered lists should follow the format described below:

Bullet List Format:

  • Indent to the left by 0.8 cm and pending text by 0.5 cm.
  • Corresponds to the Bullet Item style.

Numbered List Format:

  • Indent to the left by 0.8 cm and pending text by 0.5 cm.
  • Corresponds to the Numbered Item style.

Figure and table captions

Both figures and tables should be centered on the page and numbered sequentially.

Figure captions should be placed below the figures, in "Georgia" format with size 9, left-aligned, single-spaced, preceded by a spacing of 6 points and followed by a spacing of 12 points.

Table captions should appear at the top, in size-9, "Georgia" font, centered, with single line spacing, preceded by 12 points, and followed by a paragraph spacing of 6 points.

Footnotes

Footnotes will be presented at the bottom of the page, at the end of each page, with font "Georgia" size 9 and single-spaced.

Conclusions

This document can be used as a basis for the final editing of the article to be submitted.

Bibliographic References

The list of bibliographic references and citations in the text must comply with the recommendations of ISO Standard 690.

In the text, references should be made to the names of the authors and the year of publication; for example (Silva, 2005) or (Silva, Oliveira & Pereira, 2005).

The list of references to be included at the end of the article should follow the format with font "Georgia", size 10, single-spaced, and hanging indent of 0.7 cm. See the examples shown below:

The texts must be:

  • Unpublished, original articles.
  • Written in Spanish, in word processor, .doc files or equivalent, with single spacing.
  • The authors must accompany a synthesis, of no more than two lines per author, with their main professional/academic/scientific binding institution that will be published on the first page of the article, on the next line followed by the name and email of the authors. authors
  • Full articles should not exceed 18 unnumbered pages, including tables, charts, and references. The number of figures should not exceed eight.

Technical report

Formal documents, the result of research by an expert in the field, or by a multidisciplinary team, that compile relevant information or evidence, with a criterion of independence and objectivity, about a fact or situation.

Bibliographic review

Selection of publications on a specific topic where the information is analyzed, presenting discussion and conclusions.
